ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Audible’s “Next Chapter” Returnship Program is a paid full-time internship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to professionals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least one year to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply. This program offers you a chance to revamp your skills, update your resume with new experiences, and make connections with other professionals.

User Experience Design is at the heart of Audible’s goal to be customer obsessed. As a UX Designer, you'll collaborate with product, business, and technology teams to enhance our core consumer-facing services. We transform customer insights into engaging products that deliver business value and customer joy. We're looking for a talented, passionate UX Designer to help maintain Audible's position as a leader in product innovation. You will be mentored by seasoned designers, as well as other cross-functional stakeholders across Audible and Amazon as a whole. You will partner with product managers, developers, researchers, and the business to define, design and modernize our products and services. You use your design skills to find solutions in that transform knowledge of the customer into compelling product features and services
You dive into understanding customer problems, collaborate with stakeholders, and leverage research to craft design solutions grounded in insights and business goals
You hold a fundamental belief that understanding customer needs creates the opportunity for product innovation
You actively expand, evangelize, and share your customer knowledge, ensuring the work you and your team produce meets customer needs
You have the ability to approach design challenges from diverse perspectives and incorporate different problem-solving methods. We value candidates who can bring unique insights and innovative solutions to the team
As a UX designer, you will...
Collaborate closely with UX, product, engineering, analytics, customer service, marketing, and QA teams
Champion user-centered design through formal research partnerships and informal user testing, creating prototypes as needed to validate solutions
Create and refine designs through wireframes, prototypes, customer journeys, and storyboards, validating solutions through multiple iterations.
Create designs primarily for native mobile apps, while also supporting other platforms like tablet, TV and car
Exchange constructive feedback in design review sessions, incorporate feedback into iterations
Partner with User Research to ensure that your design concepts meet our customer's expectations and will deliver the desired results
Create clear documentation that enables stakeholders to understand designs and tech partners to implement them effectively
Learn continually from available resources and experts, then share your knowledge with others
